As most of my watchers know, I have been attempting water shots recently. Poorly, I might add. I still have not achieved what I want to, but I thought this one was okay. Certainly nothing special.

This shot actually looks like I did more to it than I did. Blue food coloring and enhanced in PS. I duplicated the original layer and multiplied it, and then reduced the transparency to about 25%.

In PhotoShop when you duplicate a layer and then set that layer to "multiply" it will generally give the shot a bit more depth. It will also make it darker so I reduced the transparency. This was shot with my old Sony camera that could leave images looking "flat". By making the edits I did it gave it a bit more life. Hope that helps. :)

How can you say that, that shot is okay? That's beautiful but yeah, I agree it does look like you did more to it then you did do. But nonetheless, I love it &an absolute favourite.

not apecial? I disagree! I love the angle, and the purity and serene focus is really beautiful :) I think it is special, for I haven't seen many water shots on here like I like, and I LOVE this one...but then again who am I? lol...

What a wonderous and extravagant capture. You have grafted the essense of water in this not so simple shot. There is so much depth to this, it's painful.

There is nothing quite the same as water. It is so pure, so powerful. To have saptured the soul of something so sacred is to weild a great skill. :glomp:

sure you didn't do "much" but it still looks great and has style. AND its not created as many of these types of shots are, it is actualy a photo. nice work

This is really captivating. Sure, I can see it's a picture of water, but the shape is so interesting. The same way you can see different images in the shapes of clouds, the swirling light on black makes me think of a galaxy in space. The blue coloring was a great idea, and the angle adds something to the composition. Excellent work!

Hey cool, I like how this turned out. I know taking water shots must be really hard. I have attempted a few, only to end up getting mad at myself. But this one is a keeper!
